Avid Media Composer 3.0 Co-installation with Pro Tools LE 7.4 for Windows XP |
Avid Media Composer 3.0 is qualified for co-installation on the same computer with Pro Tools in the following configurations only:
- Pro Tools LE 7.4 for Windows XP
- Any Mbox 2 Family audio interface
- Any Windows XP-based computer qualified for Media Composer 3.0
- QuickTime workflows only*
*While an Avid video peripheral such as Mojo SDI may be connected and used with Media Composer in configurations with Mbox 2, Mbox 2 Mini, and Mbox 2 Micro, it cannot be used with Pro Tools in this configuration. When using an Avid Mojo or Mojo SDI, no other devices should be connected to the CPU’s built in FireWire ports. A qualified FireWire host bus adapter card should be used for connecting FireWire drives or other devices. Refer to www.avid.com for a list of qualified FireWire host bus adapters. Connection of an Avid FireWire peripheral is not supported on systems with Mbox 2 Pro.
Required Install Order
1. Install Media Composer 3.0
2. Uninstall the Digidesign Audio Driver from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
3. Install Pro Tools 7.4 LE for Windows XP without the Avid Video Engine
Not Qualified for Co-installation of Media Composer 3.0 and Pro Tools

Additional Information
Avid Media Composer 3.0 can be installed without Pro Tools software installed on other configurations, but Pro Tools LE 7.4 for Windows XP is the only version of Pro Tools qualified for co-installation with Avid Media Composer 3.0.
