Mac OS X has built-in spell check capability for Safari, Internet Explorer, and other applications. For Mac OS X applications that do not have built-in spell check capability:

For Mac OS X:
- UBBComposer is an application that conveniently inserts the modified HTML markup tags that are used on many web-based bulletin boards into text. It works well with UBB, vB, phpBB, and most other BBs. UBBComposer makes it easy for people who don't know HTML to create posts/letters that use text styles and formatting.
For Mac OS 9:
- UBB Writer 2.0 (freeware for mac OS 9) is an Ultimate Bulletin Board code editor that allows the user to add function and style to posts at forums like the Digidesign User Conference.
- SpellTools is a Mac OS 8 & 9 spell check application. Allows you to create a plug-in for many applications, including web browsers. Useful for a number of things like cleaning up email, posting to the DUC.
For Windows:
- ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage, such as the post and reply text boxes on the DUC and other online forums.

Find out how much RAM and which processor, chipset, and Windows XP Service Pack you have.
SiSoftware Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is an information & diagnostic utility. It should provide most of the information (including undocumented) you need to know about your hardware, software and other devices whether hardware or software. Advanced and free versions.
PC WIZARD 2005 is a powerful free utility designed especially for detection of hardware, but also some more analysis. It's able to identify a large scale of system components and supports the latest technologies and standards.
Maxtor MaxBlast 3 is a one-step, ATA/IDE hard drive installation utility for automatically identifying, partitioning, and formatting IDE hard drives without using FDISK. The Powermax utility is designed to perform diagnostic read/write verifications on Maxtor/Quantum hard drives. These tests will determine hard drive integrity.
