Who Should Use Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1?



Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1 for Mac OS X contains fixes in the following areas:
  • Scrolling
  • Editing/Conform

Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1 is provided as an interim "customer support (CS)" release to address the issues described. While our testing has not shown these changes to introduce other problems, the fixes described have not been fully qualified by Digidesign.


What's Included in Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1 for Mac OS X?



Fixed: Improved horizontal scrolling with track balls and Apple Mighty Mouse (Item #119003)
  • Optimized scrolling speed and performance with track balls and Apple Mighty Mouse. The scroll speed is now more consistent with using the right/left arrow buttons in Pro Tools.
  • Users should also install the latest drivers for their input device (from Apple, Logitech, Kensington, etc.)

Fixed: Exiting the Start/End/Length fields using "/" (the forward slash key from the numeric keypad) caused the entered value to be ignored (Item #118727)
  • Resolved an issue in which using the "/" key (forward slash key from the numeric keypad) to exit the Start/End/Length fields after entering a value would cause the entered value to be ignored. This broke the workflow with several 3rd party conform applications.


Installation Instructions



To update to Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1:
1. Verify Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1 is installed on your system.
2. Quit the Pro Tools application if it is open.
3. Locate the Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1 update installer and launch it.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1.
5. When installation is complete, restart your computer.
Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.1cs1 will update the following files to the version listed (use Get Info to view file version):
  • Pro Tools M-Powered.app (v8.0.1cs1)
  • DFW.framework (v8.0.1cs1)
