(June 12, 2006) — Soundminer is happy to announce that SoundminerXP with Spot to Pro Tools support and Soundminer RipperXP are shipping as of June 1, 2006. SoundminerXP features many of the upcoming Macintosh Version 4 features and also features Soundminer’s industry respected conversion routines and high resolution audio support. Pro Tools 6.9 and 7.1 and higher are supported for spot to timeline features, single and batch transferring and Sync marker spotting. All applications that support drag and drop, like Avid products are also supported. SMXP also features Soundminer’s respected varispeed engine, along with accurate waveform editing, Server Support, Summary searching, Project Bin tracking and support for expansive metadata and database manipulation routines. Further integration with the V4 Macintosh line is planned for later in the year.

Soundminer RipperXP supports all the same libraries supported on the Macintosh platform as well as easy to use drag and drop custom library support. Soundminer Ripper extracts both tracks and indexes from the over 200 supported SFX libraries, creates the waveform overviews and embeds all the search metadata into the resulting files. Music libraries are supported via our Music Library Initiative. Soundminer is happy to have helped embed extended metadata for many of the largest production music libraries like APM, 5Alarm Music, Pro Music, De Wolfe, Killer Tracks, Megatrax, Groove Addicts, Mastersource, and many many more. Now users can simply drag and drop these libraries and any of their new releases onto Soundminer (both Mac and PC) and instantly acquire all the necessary metadata for searching, tracking transferring and creating cue sheets.
