Full Sail Trains Record Number of Graduates On Digidesign’s State-of-The-Art ICON Integrated Console
(June 12, 2006) — Full Sail Real World Education has had over 1032 graduates work on Digidesign’s state-of-the-art ICON systems since March of 2005. In addition, 500 students have been certified as Digidesign Certified Operators within the last three years. Full Sail to date has the most ICONs of any school or single venue for students to train.
ICON breaks new ground in providing full command of the mixing and production process. In addition to supporting mixes up to 24-bit/192 in 7.1 surround sound, ICON is backed by industry-standard Pro Tools recording and editing software. The integrated console features touch-sensitive controls, a wide range of visual mixing feedback, dedicated center routing, global automation, and full studio and control room monitoring.
Full Sail is proud of an extraordinary relationship that has been developed with Digidesign over the last 10 years. Full Sail takes an active commitment to providing to all students the top gear being implemented into the industry today so that they may receive hands-on experience with the leading equipment available on the market. The Main Stages of Warner Bros. Studios and MTV’s Video Music Awards are among several companies who use the ICON technology.
“It is rather exciting and rewarding to know that our graduates have an extra advantage once they get out into the real world looking for employment. The training they receive with the ICON technology greatly sets them apart from the rest,” said Bill Smith, Program Director of Full Sail Recording Arts.
