Ohm Force Ships Ohmicide:Melohman for Pro Tools Systems

(June 6, 2007) — It's commercially common knowledge that people always want more distortion and this is exactly what Ohmicide: Melohman has delivered. In one death blow. During a windy night, the madmen in the OhmCave created a Pluginstein monster – Ohmicide:Melohman, their new multiband stereo effect.

They transmogrified body parts from Symptohm:Melohman and Minimonsta:Melohman (yes! Melohman!) and stitched the results to a multiband stereo effect whose design was inspired by the clawed alien uncle, Predatohm. (No surgery involved! Ohmicide:Melohman is a new plugin.)

A non-exhaustive random feature list would run like this:
  • All new distortions available in three flavors : normal, ampsim and odd. The "Odd" one is terribly exciting as it gives you control on the harmonics frequency and allows for slightly detuned distortion
  • Band distortion: a heap of modern sounding stereo distortions that can feedback
  • Band dynamic: alien compressor or expander, synchronized noise gate
  • Band stereo: optionally process in mid/side mode for more stereo field tweak-ability
  • First Melohman effect: MIDI-controlled preset morphing or randomization. Remixers' new absolute must?
  • Optional high quality rendering (internal oversampling)
  • Great on guitar, bass, synth, and any living creature in general
  • Impressive new GUI feat. Prune Force.
  • Mac OS X 10.4.9 supported
  • RTAS version on Mac OS X is only 79 Euros
