(January 18, 2007) — The outstanding mastering software bx_digital that has been critically acclaimed so far by magazines and professional mastering studio owners in Europe for its versatility, sound quality and its unique M/S-features, is finally available for all Pro Tools users via Brainworx´s brand new online shop. Two different versions are available for RTAS and TDM; both versions will work with PC and Mac including Intel Macs. The TDM version will have an extended 7-band EQ to exactly match the ICON center section EQ, and it will have special ICON features: among others it will offer an unique “auto solo mode” to control the mastering software via the touch sensitive EQ knobs of the ICON hardware.

The bx_digital´s concept was developed by Brainworx´s Dirk Ulrich (Germany) together with Mazen Murad from Metropolis Studios, London. Both of them are mastering engineers with international credits such as Iron Maiden, Tears for Fears, TSR (feat. The bx_digital emulates three of the four modes of the Brainworx world-class analogue mastering EQ bx1 (“Modus EQ”) whose prototype will be shown for the first time ever at NAMM as well!
