Mac Intel compatibility as well as other important enhancements

(December 8, 2006) — IK Multimedia is proud to announce the release of downloads for AmpliTube® 2.1, SampleTank® 2.2, and Ampeg® SVX 1.1, providing compatibility for IK users with Mac Intel Core Duo Systems. IK users may download the respective software update for free and will no longer require a USB iKey or dongle. Simply follow the instructions for the software-based authorization system to easily install the update.

SpeedTrainer™, available in the new AmpliTube 2.1 and Ampeg SVX 1.1, is an audio player with pitch and speed controls that make it perfect for learning ANY of your favorite songs. SpeedTrainer allows you to drag any WAV or MP3 from your hard disk. Set loop points easily for playing over and tracking your preferred riffs. Also, an included metronome (set by BPM or Tap) is very useful for the studying and practicing guitarist or bassist.
