Creative Network Design Debuts Next-Generation Sound Effects Play-Out Solution For Live TV, Radio and Theatre

(September 18, 2006) — Creative Network Design (CND), leading developer of audio asset management systems, will debut TriggerPak™ 1.2 and the company’s flagship software product NetMix Pro 3.8 at the AES convention in San Francisco. TriggerPak expands NetMix Pro into a sound effects, music segments and voiceovers play-out solution for live TV productions, radio, theatre and live events.

NetMix Pro allows users to search lightning fast for sound effects, music or any other audio file cataloged in the NetMix Server database and assign audio files quickly to TriggerBins (playlists).

TriggerPak features:
  • Broadcast control box trigger support via Ethernet
  • Waveform Clip Editor
  • Keyboard trigger
  • MIDI note trigger
  • Support of multi-channel audio interfaces with Core Audio and Windows drivers including interfaces from Digidesign and M-Audio
  • Parameters for each sound include: region, level, trigger mode
  • RAM-based or disk-based playback
  • Synchronization with MIDI sequencers and MIDI Show Control Systems

“TriggerPak basically introduces sampler functionality to NetMix Pro. Many users of NetMix Pro have been asking for this feature for a long time. Most samplers and trigger systems have very limited search and management capabilities,” said Markus Schmidt, President of Creative Network Design.
”With TriggerPak we have created a workflow solution once again: Create a new sound in Pro Tools, upload it to NetMix Server with MetaPlug, find it instantly with NetMix Pro and assign it to a TriggerBin. This works on a standalone workstation or in a networked environment.”

NetMix Pro with TriggerPak allows sound effects, music segments and voiceovers to be simply and effectively managed. NetMix Pro systems are scalable from 1 to 1000 users.

NetMix Pro also enables instant search and retrieval of over 50 production music libraries. APM, BMG, Killer Tracks, Sonoton and many more now provide their entire catalogs as NetMix-optimized broadcast wav and mp3 files with embedded metadata and album cover art.

Creative Network Design’s flagship software product NetMix™ Pro, TriggerPak, MetaPlug and other products will be demonstrated at the AES convention in San Francisco, from September 6-9, in booth # 1340.
