Princeton Digital Supports Intel Mac Pro
“Universal” Versions of Reverb2016, Plate2016 and SpaceStation
(September 18, 2006) — Princeton Digital today announced support for the new Intel-based Mac Pro for all of our Pro Tools plug-ins: the Reverb2016, Plate2016 and SpaceStation SST-228.
The Reverb2016 is our triple reverb bundle that includes our Plate2016. The 2016 reverbs are authentic recreations of the Eventide SP2016 reverbs popular in the mid-1980s. The Space Station recreates the legendary Ursa Major SpaceStation SST-228.
Users can now download “universal” versions of these classics from our website and order them from our web store. Existing users can upgrade to the universal versions at no charge. Demo authorizations for our plug-ins can be used for either Windows or Macintosh systems. Demo authorizations time out after 30 days or 500 launches.
“We’re impressed with both the new Apple platform and Digidesign’s ability to move so quickly to support it,” said Tony Agnello, President of Princeton Digital. “Digidesign’s tools have streamlined the development process easing the path for users moving to Mac Pros. As developers, we’re especially grateful for excellent tools provided by Digidesign - they made the task of porting our plug-ins relatively painless.”
The three Reverb 2016 plug-ins support sample rates of 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz and support both Mac and XP versions of Pro Tools HD 7 software. System requirements include: Pro Tools HD 7 software, Pro Tools|HD Accel hardware, and iLok for authorizations through iLok.com.
Reverb2016 is priced at $699, SpaceStation SST-228 is priced at $499 and both are available now at www.princetondigital.com.
