Avid Audio Puts on a Revolutionary Show at NAMM

Digidesign, M-Audio, and Sibelius have each developed a reputation for delivering best-of-breed products that users have embraced to drive their creativity, and our collective display at this year’s Winter NAMM Show is no exception. As the industry-leading forces that make up the Audio division of Avid Technology, we’re showcasing our latest products and innovations as a united front, sharing one booth that represents a wide range of groundbreaking music creation tools for professional audio production, personal recording, live sound, music composition, and music education.
For our part, Digidesign is showcasing its commitment to lead the revolution in music creation fueled by our most successful software release to date, Pro Tools® 7.4 software, which features the time-manipulating power of Elastic Time. Also on display—and capturing heavy industry buzz—is Eleven™, our new hyper-realistic guitar amp emulator. We’re also showing off our latest virtual instrument offerings, which make creating music with Pro Tools an inspiring and productive experience, as well as our professional music mixing (C|24™, D-Control ES™, and D-Command®) and VENUE live sound consoles, and Digidesign® Reference Monitor Series (RMS) speakers.
Attendees can gain serious music creation knowledge through our numerous product demos featured daily, plus special celebrity guest artists will make appearances at our booth throughout the show. And, of course, we’re introducing several exciting new products along with our current line-up of industry-leading audio innovations. Here’s a quick run-down of everything new from Digidesign.
Mix Rack
Mix Rack is Digidesign’s most affordable entry into the VENUE line, combining all stage, local audio I/O, and DSP processing into a single compact rack. As an alternative to the VENUE FOH Rack and Stage Rack system, Mix Rack maintains the established hallmarks of the VENUE environment, including excellent sound quality, flexible I/O options, native TDM plug-in processing, Pro Tools® integration, full compatibility with D-Show® and D-Show Profile™, and complete show file portability.
D-Show 2.7 Software
Digidesign continues to expand and improve its groundbreaking D-Show® software with the new D-Show 2.7 software. The latest upgrade provides hardware support for the new VENUE Mix Rack, and several new software enhancements for VENUE users to improve monitor-mixing workflows, provide system lock capabilities, and give engineers better visual insight into their mixes.
Pro Tools Music Creation Studio
Digidesign and M-Audio have joined together to create a powerful limited-edition package that offers a complete professional music studio — all in one box. The Pro Tools® Music Creation Studio provides everything you need to record, edit, mix, and promote your music. The bundle features an Mbox® 2 Factory audio/MIDI production system, M-Audio® Nova microphone, M-Audio Axiom 25 MIDI keyboard controller, M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 monitors, Structure™ LE advanced sample player plug-in, Velvet™ vintage electric pianos plug-in, and all required cables.
Pro Tools Personal Studio
For the singer/songwriter or individual musician, Digidesign and M-Audio have also created a special limited-edition studio package that offers everything you need to record, edit, mix, and promote your music in one box. The Pro Tools Personal Studio features the ultra-compact yet mighty Mbox® 2 Mini audio system, M-Audio Nova microphone, M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 monitors, Structure LE advanced sample player plug-in, an iLok USB Smart Key, and all required cables.
Hybrid 1.5
The Digidesign Hybrid™ high-definition synthesizer has been a favorite among audio geeks and musicians alike, and now Digidesign has released Hybrid 1.5, which offers even more features and filters to sink your sound chops into. Hybrid 1.5 features a new vintage sound filter for classic analog sounds, five new filter saturation modes, 336 all-new patches, and 256 revised factory patches, providing you with an extended range of sonic possibilities. If you own a previous version of Hybrid, Digidesign is offering a free upgrade to version 1.5 from January 22 through March 22, 2008 only — be sure to

Strike Content Expansion
