VCA and Group Spill

Get quick and easy access to a particular channel within a VCA or group without having to bank through multiple channel layers to reach it. The new VCA and Group Spill feature temporarily brings channels assigned to a VCA or group immediately to the top of the console. Simply double-press the Select button on the desired VCA or group to “spill” the contents across the console’s input faders for fast, convenient access regardless of what fader bank these channels normally appear on.
Cue on Mains Fader

For monitor mix engineers, the new Cue on Mains Fader feature provides fast access to the monitor (cue) bus using the Mains Fader, eliminating the need to reach for a rotary encoder. D-Show software temporarily assigns the Mains Fader to control the monitor level (the actual Mains level is unaffected), allowing you to simply ride the Mains Fader to control the send level to your in-ear monitors and/or listening wedge. Simply select this feature checkbox in D-Show software, or use the Events List to program any function button or footswitch to enable it. On VENUE SC48, you can now access the Monitoring level control using one of the output encoders, or assign it to the Mains fader.

With D-Show 2.8.1 software, the VENUE Mix Rack System now enjoys 16 additional input processing channels, for a total of 64 input processing channels. This expansion offers new opportunities for handling simultaneous FOH and monitor workflows, duplicating channels to perform advanced mixing techniques (such as upwards compression), or for controlling playback devices without having to use effects return channels.

D-Show 2.8.1 software adds Channel Pan to the snapshot crossfade, allowing you to create special panning effects in your mix.

Get even more flexibility and configure the VENUE system to fit the gig at hand. This feature allows you to link two mono matrixes together as a stereo link and apply the matrix channel’s built-in delay to align the matrix to other outputs. Any changes made to one matrix will be mirrored on the other.

To speed-up sound checks, D-Show 2.8.1 software lets you copy and paste settings between any plug-ins of the same type, using the standard right-click copy and paste functions.

This special free version of D-Show software allows you to work on show files outside of a VENUE system (on any Windows XP system, including Macs with Boot Camp or Windows emulation). To learn more, see the D-Show Standalone Software section on the D-Show software Details page.
