Wish there was a way to quickly and easily check the safe switch statuses of your VENUE inputs? There is! You can create an event in D-Show® 2.5 or higher software that allows you to toggle the status of the input safe switches from your VENUE control surface as well as in the GUI. Remember, all safe switch modes are operational at all times, but only one mode can be seen at a time. By creating this event, you can quickly cycle through the modes right from your control surface, or with a simple footswitch, to view the solo, automation, or bank safe status for all input channels without having to navigate to the Interaction page and mouse-click the individual Input Safe Switches radio buttons. Here’s how.

1. Go to the Options > Events page, click “New” to create a new event, and label it accordingly.
2. In the Triggers (top-right) pane, choose either a footswitch closure or a function switch closure from the Add drop-down menu.
3. In the Actions (bottom-right) pane, choose Input Safe Switch Mode from the Add drop-down menu.


Rather than navigate to and then toggle the Input Safe Switch status indication using the radio buttons, you can create an event that’ll do the same deed faster.
