How do I configure the 8 trigger pads in the controller section of Transfuser to respond to the 8 pressure pads on my Axiom Keyboard?

1) First set the Transfuser preferences for the trigger pads to a specific octave. In this example we will use Octave C3. To change the Transfuser preferences, click the icon at the bottom right of the Transfuser window that looks like a wrench; This will show the Transfuser preferences.

In the Trigger pad midi input section, set the octave to C3. This will map the first 8 midi notes of octave C3 to the 8 trigger pads in Transfuser sequentially, 1-8. Ex. Pad 1=C (#60),Pad 2=C#/D (#61) etc...

Now that your Transfuser trigger pads are set to octave C3 you are ready to configure your Axiom pads to the same range of notes.

*Refer to the Transfuser guide page 39 for more details about Transfuser preferences.

2) Next, assign the 8 pressure pads on your Axiom keyboard to first 8 midi notes of the octave selected in the Transfuser trigger pad preferences. In this example, the first 8 midi note values for the C3 range are numbered 60-67. Therefore, you must assign your Axiom pressure pads to the same midi note values #60-67 sequentially. The bottom left pressure pad on your Axiom represents the graphical trigger pad 1 in Transfuser. Assign the 1st note of octave C3 , to this pad.
Ex. bottom left pad = C (#60)

For help assigning midi note values to your Axiom pressure pads follow these steps from the Axiom User Manual:

Note: The octave range in Transfuser is mapped using C-2 through C8, middle C is mapped to C3. Some other devices may use a different octave range table. Be sure to follow the Transfuser octave range when assigning note values to your Axiom pads. The table below will help define the midi note values for each octave available in Transfuser.

From the pop-up menu, choose the Track and the Module you want (such as Track 3 > Drums) and select the Pattern or MIDI note you want to trigger—such as C2 (48) to trigger a Kick Drum sound.

4) Now that you have everything set properly, you can press the pressure pads on your Axiom to control the trigger pads in Transfuser. The Trigger pads in Transfuser will light up yellow when being triggered.
