Windows XP SP2, Microsoft DEP and PACE InterLok Drivers Update
- All Pro Tools LE versions for Windows XP require Windows XP Service Pack 1 or higher.
- Pro Tools LE 6.9 and higher require Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP1 not tested).
- All versions of Pro Tools earlier than 6.9 install PACE InterLok drivers that are not compatible with SP2.
In order to use Windows XP SP2 with earlier versions of Pro Tools LE for Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, Digi 001, and original Mbox, you must update your PACE InterLok drivers after installing Pro Tools software.
- If you encounter unexplained blue screens, freezes or spontaneous reboots when launching Pro Tools with Windows XP Service Pack 2, please update your PACE InterLok drivers:
- The current InterLok drivers solve the described problems without having to disable Microsoft's DEP (Data Execution Prevention) feature introduced with Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack Only
Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack owners with Windows XP Service Pack 2 will also need to download Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9 after installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 for Windows XP:
Although Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9 will also work with Digi 001 and Mbox, the specific fix in 6.4cs9 for Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack is only required for 002 hardware with Windows XP Service Pack 2.

What Pro Tools Systems Does D-Verb 1.8.1 Work With?
D-Verb 1.8.1 works with the following Pro Tools Systems:
- Pro Tools TDM version 5.1 — Mac
- Pro Tools TDM version 5.1.1 — Mac & Win 2000
- Pro Tools TDM version 5.1.3 — Mac
- Pro Tools TDM version 5.2 — Mac
- Pro Tools LE version 5.1 — Mac & Win 98/Me
- Pro Tools LE version 5.1.1 — Mac & Win 98/Me
- Pro Tools LE version 5.2.1 (Mac) for Digi 001, ToolBox, ToolBox XP, and Audiomedia III LE systems
Who Should Not Use D-Verb 1.8.1?
- These D-Verb 1.8.1 plug-ins will not work with any version of Pro Tools older than Pro Tools 5.1, Including Pro Tools 5.0.1 and older.
- These D-Verb 1.8.1 plug-ins will not work with Pro Tools 5.3 and higher. Please use the versions included with your Pro Tools 5.3 and higher installer.
- Mbox users should continue to use the D-Verb plug-ins installed by your Mbox Pro Tools LE installation from your Mbox installation CD.
Pro Tools FREE Warning: DO NOT USE
If you have purchased D-Verb RTAS for Pro Tools FREE from the online DigiStore, this installer will replace D-Verb RTAS and will not work with Pro Tools FREE with or without your D-Verb RTAS serial number.

The following control surfaces were not tested with Pro Tools 6.4, and therefore are not officially supported. The Pro Tools TDM & LE version 6.4 CDs contain an "Unsupported Software" folder with the following control surface personality files:
- CM Labs MotorMix
- JL Cooper CS-10 MIDI series
- Mackie Designs HUI
- Peavy PC-1600
- JL Cooper MCS 3000 series MCS-Panner*
*MCS-Panner file only available with Mac download, not available on Pro Tools 6.4 CDs
Please Note: Although not tested with Pro Tools 6.4, the CM Labs MotorMIX and Mackie HUI are fully supported with all previous Pro Tools 6.x releases and all Pro Tools releases after 6.4.
To use these files, download and place the personality file for your MIDI Controller in the following location:
On Mac OS X:
Hard Drive:\Applications\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Controllers
On Windows XP:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Controllers

Pro Tools LE 6.4 is a free download for all Pro Tools LE 6.0 through 6.4 owners. The installer can be used to update an existing Pro Tools LE 6 installation, or Pro Tools LE 6.4 can be installed with no previous installation of Pro Tools.
Pro Tools LE 6.4 software provides support for Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.3 with the following Digidesign Pro Tools LE systems:
- Digi 002*
- Digi 002 Rack*
- Mbox (original model, not Mbox 2)
- Digi 001**
Pro Tools LE 6.4 will not work with Audiomedia III (AM3) cards. The last Pro Tools LE versions for Audiomedia III are Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 for Windows XP, Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 for Mac OS X 10.2 "Jaguar", or Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 for Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
*Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack owners with Windows XP Service Pack 2 will also need to download Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9 after installing Pro Tools LE 6.4 for Windows XP.
**Pro Tools LE 6.4 is the last version of Pro Tools that will work with Digi 001 hardware. Digi 001 owners that do not already own Pro Tools LE 6 can purchase the discounted upgrade to Pro Tools LE 6.4 from the online DigiStore.
Windows XP Service Pack 2
All users (001, 002, Mbox) on Windows XP Service Pack 2 will need to update their PACE drivers:
- Update Your PACE Interlok & iLok Drivers
- Although you may be able to use Service Pack 2 Pro Tools LE 6.4, it has not been tested and is therefore not officially qualified with Pro Tools LE 6.4 and earlier.
Downloads
Your Pro Tools LE version 6.0, 6.1.x, 6.2.x, or 6.4 authorization code beginning with "DIGI06" is required to download, install, and authorize these updates. Your authorization code can be found in one of the following locations:
- Inside the front cover of your Pro Tools 6.x Getting Started Guide
- Inside the front cover of your Upgrading to Pro Tools 6.x or What's New in Pro Tools 6.x booklet included with updates and upgrades
- On your DigiStore receipt or DigiStore order history (in the "your account" section) if you purchased a Pro Tools LE 6.4 for Digi 001 downloadable upgrade for either Mac or Windows.
