|
| When trying to record audio in programs like Wave lab and Sound Forge, I get static, clicks in the audio, or pulse sounds recorded with the audio on my hard drive. |
This can happen when trying to record to a 9 Gigabyte hard drive or larger that has been formatted with Fat 32 file format.
You can most likely fix the problem by adjusting the buffer size from medium to small in the setting options for the Wave driver in the Multimedia control panels.

After installing the WaveDriver, I can’t see it in the Multimedia control ...
|
| After installing the WaveDriver, I can’t see it in the Multimedia control panels under the advance tab. |
This can be caused by :
1) Installing the WaveDriver with the add new hardware control panel instead of specifying the location of the driver when the Digi hardware was first detected.
2) Forgetting to restart after the install of the WaveDriver. (Note: After installing the WaveDriver, there is no prompt to restart the computer, so the user may think that they do not need to restart the computer after the install.)

|
| How do I get the WaveDriver to install If I installed it with the add new hardware control panel. |
There are two ways:
1) Remove your Digi 001 or Audiomedia III from the Device Manager, and then delete the digidesigndalwdm.inf file in directory path of C:\Windows\inf\other\digidesigndalwdm.inf
Then restart the computer. After the computer restarts, windows will detect the Digi hardware again. After Windows detects the hardware, choose specify location and browse to the folder where the WaveDriver is on the Pro Tools disc.
2) You can also use the update driver option under the driver tab for the Digi 001\Audiomedia III in Device Manager. (This will only work if the user had installed using the add new hardware control panel to install the driver).
