frequently on my machine, initiating playback results in a 3-10 second SWOD pause, and then no playback; the cursor returns to normal, restoring control to the user, but no playback or DAE error communicating the termination of playback.
This was reported to happen on a G4 computer that only had 256 megs of ram. Adding more ram so that it was at the 512 megs recommended, solved this problem.

Please check the compatibility page at
www.digidesign.com/compato
for information on memory requirements for your computer and the version of Pro Tools you are running.

Compatibility with Wireless Network Card and M-Audio Hardware

Fader movement gets choppy and hesitant intermittently while playing back volume and pan automation.
• Running on a PowerBook G4/400
• Hardware Buffer = 512, CPU% = 85, DAE Playback Buffer = 4
• Recording to 2 tracks while playing 6 on a single Digidrive FireWire 80.
• While recording the fader movement of the playback tracks briefly halts periodically. Seems to be when the deck is having "trouble", shortly before a -9128, -6086, or -6093 error is thrown.

This was reported with Pro Tools 6.0.2 with some of the slower Powerbook computers and is a design/performance limitation.

Playback or processing delay on video deck. When laying back audio from Pro Tools with MachineControl, audio is always late or early.
Some decks have a 2-3 frame processing delay. In this case, you can use the Session Start Offset feature in the Pro Tools Session Setup window to compensate.

As of Pro Tools 7.4 there is no specific profile for the Sony IMX MSW-M2000P.

Seen on Sony HD - M2000, DVC Pro  750 / 950, Sony DSR2000 [Page View]

Could not save 'Name of the session' because Access is denied. (5).
This can occur in Pro Tools 6.7 and higher if logged in as a non-admin user on a session that was created on another system, when doing any operation that requires that the session be closed and reopened such as declaring Legacy peripherals, enabling Auto Delay Compensation, changing the DAE Playback Engine, changing the number of voices and DSP's, etc.

The workaround is to re-save the session on the current system, and then perform the desired operation.

"Not enough DSP or time slots" message and DAE -7224, -7077, or -7204 errors or no audio following a DSP shuffle.
This has been seen in Pro Tools 6.7 with the standard or beta mixers. In one case, making Altiverb v4.0 inactive (or reverting to Altiverb 3.0) solved the problem.

This has been seen on systems with HD Accel and HD Process cards. [Page View]

"An error occurred: Error occurred during exit method. *Exception: DAE_INTERFACE_GENERIC_BAD_THING, className: StCurResFileRestorer, MethodName..." when loading VocALign in Media Station|V10 1.0.
This is a known issue in Media Station|V10 v1.0 with VocALign that should be resolved in a future release of Media Station. [Page View]

DAE Error -9131 when trying to record to an external firewire hard drive.
In some cases, with large firewire drives, partitioning the drive into two partitions resolves this issue.
