| In EQ III, HF and LF Q changes value when set to notch and you duplicate the plug-in by option + dragging the plug-in to another track. |
This is a known issue with EQ III in Pro Tools 6.9, and is fixed in EQIII 6.9cs1.
Here's where you can download from the Digidesign website:

|
| When I select any of the Tempo Operations options from the MIDI list in Pro Tools v6.7 or later, the apply button is "grayed" out. |
You must specify a length for the tempo operation to occur. If the start and the end time have the same value, the apply button will be "grayed" out. Changing either the start or end value will cause the apply button to become active.

|
| After unmounting my firewire hard drive from Pro Tools' Workspace Browser, I can not mount my FW drive. |
The problem occurs because unmounting from the workspace causes the drive to lose it's assigned letter. To solve:
1) Right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management.
2) Right click on the drive > "Change Drive Letter and Paths"
3) Click Add
4) Assign the Following Drive Letter (choose a letter from the pull down menu). The drive should now mount and be usable.
Note: This does not result in data loss of any kind.

| Error message: "Could not complete the "Open Session...command because: the file doesn't contain a sequence (it has no composition mob)", when opening an AAF file. |
This happens when a Clip has been exported from an Avid or from MediaStation instead of a Sequence.
As a workaround, it will still be possible to import the video media using the Movie/Add Movie command, but positional reference will be lost.

In one case the workaround is to save the session after importing the MP3 but before playing the session.

| Unable to use mouse to click on certain buttons in Pro Tools - nothing happens. |
Verify that you have the correct version of Pro Tools installed - this can vary depending on your operating system version (see compatibility section of website) .
We have specifically seen this problem with Pro Tools LE 6.7 installed on Jaguar 10.2.x - 6.7 should only be installed on Panther 10.3.x

|
| Getting heavy fuzz (distortion) when using Mbox. Switching input to S/PDIF and back to analog (or clock to S/PDIF and back to internal) resolves it but problem keeps coming back. |
In one case, re-installing Service Pack 1 did the trick. At first (after re-installing Service Pack 1) the Mbox was not recognized by the system. USB 2 drivers are not supported in Service Pack 1 and should be installed separately. (Microsoft website) After doing this the problem was solved.

When slaving an external sequencer to MIDI Beat Clock with loop playback ...
|
| When slaving an external sequencer to MIDI Beat Clock with loop playback engaged, sync will be lost (playback stops on the external sequencer) after the first loop pass. |
This is not a bug. This is a limitation of the MIDI Beat Clock specification.
The MIDI Beat Clock specification does not allow the sending of positional information in the middle of the clock pulses. In Pro Tools v6.7 and v6.9, some people won't be able to get MIDI Beat Clock to work, when looping playback, simply because some MIDI devices are cranky about MBC.
Some customers claim synching with MIDI Beat Clock and loop playback had been working in earlier versions of Pro Tools (6.4 and before). Pro Tools v6.4 does not have an "I'm here" command at the beginning of every loop as it does in Pro Tools v6.7 and 6.9. Consequently, it's possible that Pro Tools 6.4 and earlier may work better for some customers.
