The following PCI expansion chassis is supported with the HP xw8400:
- Magma PE6R4 Expansion Chassis
- Pro Tools HD 7.4 or higher required.
- For Windows compatibility, Magma PE6R4 serial number must start with "B2". PE6R4 chassis that do not have B2 serial numbers require a hardware upgrade for Windows compatibility.
- This hardware upgrade is available for purchase in the US and Canada directly from Magma (www.magma.com); or internationally from Digidesign Technical Support.
- To be eligible for the upgrade, it is required that the original mezzanine card be sent to Magma or Digidesign Technical Support and an updated card can be purchased. Download the document below for removal and installation instructions.
Note: This chassis upgrade only adds compatibility with Windows systems. All versions of the Magma PE6R4, with any serial number, upgraded or not, are compatible with the approved Mac Pro configurations.
