| I use Waves v5.0 on Mac OS X and I do not see RTAS, AudioSuite, TDM, or HTDM components. |
By default the Waveshell DAE will load all 4 component types: Audiosuite, RTAS, TDM and HTDM.
On the Waveshell DAE first load you are prompted to select which components you wish NOT to load. (Waves designed it that way for optional faster loading phase).
In order to bring that dialog box again:
1) Hold down the shift key during Pro-Tools start up.
2) When that dialog box pops up, uncheck the components you wish to be loaded.

|
| Crash with audio still looping while using Waves, Bomb Factory, or other HTDM plug-ins with Pro Tools 6.4 or 6.7 TDM on Win XP. |
This is a known issue with HTDM plug-ins on Win XP only and has been fixed in Pro Tools 6.4cs11 and 6.7cs3.
Most HTDM plug-ins are not labeled as HTDM, rather just TDM. Waves 5.0 does differentiate between TDM and HTDM in the plug-in pull down menu. While Digidesign expects that this issue effects all HTDM plug-ins on Win XP, we have confirmed that the problem occurs with Bomb Factory: Essential Tuner, Funk Masterizer, Stereo Correlation, Noise Meter, Meter Bridge, and Cosmonaut Voice. Also, Digidesign Long Delay.

|
| I have installed various BombFactory plug-ins to be used as demos. When I launch Pro Tools, I'm being asked to authorize them. Or, I'm being told I need a demo asset on my iLok. |
You can use BombFactory v4.1.1 plug-ins in demo mode (30 days) as long as you already have an iLok and have registered it at www.ilok.com
To download various plug-ins, including BombFactory v4.1.1 plug-ins, go to:
http://www.digidesign.com/developers/plugin_info/
Here's How to get the demo assets for Bomb Factory plug-ins:
1) Launch Pro Tools.
2) As Pro Tools is launching, you will be asked to authorize a Bomb Factory plug-in, choose "Try".
4) Uncheck "Use License Card", click "Next"
5) Select "Internet Activation". "Manual Activation" doesn't do anything. You will be linked to the Digidesign Internet Activation page online where you will be required to log-in.
6) "Internet Activation" will bring up a window "Connecting to Server" If you have chosen to download a demo authorization, follow the prompts on the screen.
7) If you have chosen "Authorize" to purchase a plug-in, select Full License and click the "Buy Now" tab.
8) Follow the instruction for entering your shipping and credit card information.
9) Once the transaction is processed the demo or full license will be transferred directly to your iLok.
***Do this for each BombFactory plug-in.
Here's what one of the pages says during plug-in launch process: "If you have Internet access on this computer, you can instantly obtain a Demo Authorization or purchase a Web Authorization. To do so, connect to the Internet now. After you establish a connection, select Internet Activation and press Next."
See Abase # 28166 for more information.

|
| What is the difference between Bomb Factory legacy and current version of plug-ins and authorizations? |
We have generated new auths for BF plugs so that there is one auth for each plug. BF legacy plugs actually bundled plugs to one auth, and this gave us less flexibility than we wanted. Currently that is the only difference between legacy and current BF plugs. In the future the new BF versions will contain additional features (ICON mapping, ect.) and some bug fixes, but right now they are all the same.

|
| DAE -7059 error when instantiating a Bomb Factory BF76 plug-in in Pro Tools 6.3 or 6.4 TDM on Windows XP. |
This is a known issue with BF76 version 4.0.1 on Windows XP TDM only. It will be resolved in a future release. RTAS and AudioSuite versions of Free Bomb Factory BF76 are not affected.
Also, reverting to BF76 version 4.0 resolves the issue. To revert, remove the 4.0.1 version of the BF76 plug-in from your Plug-Ins folder by dragging it to DAE\Plug-Ins (Unused). Drag and drop the 4.0 version into your DAE\Plug-Ins folder.
Check the Digidesign web site for updates to the BF76 plug-in (www.digidesign.com).
Users of all other Bomb Factory plug-ins should continue using versions 4.0.1 or higher on Pro Tools 6.3 TDM and higher on Windows XP.

|
| In Pro Tools LE 6.4, the D-Fi plug-ins appear to be correctly installed when checking the Plug-ins folder; however, Lo-Fi and Recti-Fi do not appear within Pro Tools LE as either AudioSuite or RTAS. |
After installing D-Fi, restart the computer and launch Pro Tools. Lo-Fi and Recti-Fi should be available now.
