|
| Although not consistent, it appears that one or more of my 192 I/O's does not initialize properly. I can tell this when the Sync and Sample Rate lights don't come on. Pro Tools will not recognize the interfaces and I am forced to restart the computer to get things to work. |
Allowing the chassis to warm up for 30 seconds or more BEFORE powering on the interfaces seems to have solved this problem for one customer.
This behavior has only been seen when using a PCI expansion chassis.

|
| Is my Digidesign 13 slot chassis compatible with my Pro Tools|HD cards? |
The original Digi 13-slot chassis (the one with the big ribbon cable) is not supported because the cards need to be installed in reverse order (right to left) and the TDM flex cable needs to make a severe bend that would compromise its integrity.
Pro Tools|HD Incompatible Models S/N = NB055300B1 or lower

|
| With Pro Tools TDM 5.3, one or more plug-ins may appear to be missing from the Plug-In Inserts menu, while other plugins may be listed twice. Additionally, selecting one of the duplicate plug-in names from the menu may actually instantiate one of the "missing" plug-ins. |
DAE 5.3 R2 corrects this problem.
DAE 5.3 R2 is available in the Download section of the Digidesign website.

Second instance of Amp Farm 1.6 for HD has a reversal of it's Gain knob ...
|
| Second instance of Amp Farm 1.6 for HD has a reversal of it's Gain knob functionality. |
Steps to Reproduce:
1) New Session. Create new track. Insert Amp Farm.
2) Create second track. Insert Amp Farm. The Gain knob in the second Amp Farm Plug-in will need to be rotated counter clock-wise to increase gain rather than clock-wise as it should be. Amp tone is incorrect for the preset and the other amp knobs will not produce the appropriate sweep behavior.
This bug has been fixed in Amp Farm 2.0 release.

|
| Freeze, type 3, or type 10 error at Pro Tools 5.3 launch when loading Machine Control. |
This is a known issue with Machine Control 1.0.1 and Pro Tools 5.3. It occurs after doing anything (including removing or authorizing a plug-in) with a PACE iLok authorization key, quitting, and then relaunching Pro Tools. Pro Tools will then hang on loading Machine Control at the next launch.
Currently there is no workaround except to remove the Machine Control extension from System Folder>DAE Folder>DAE Extensions. Otherwise, a reboot is required. This issue is resolved in Pro Tools 5.3.1 and higher.
