Granite FireWire 800 systems are not affected, nor are the earlier ATA5 models.

How to get ATTO ExpressStripe for use with Pro Tools 6.9.2?
ATTO Express Stripe can be used for video playback with Avid Mojo on OS X, and is required for 2:1 or 1:1 video. For 6.9.1 users, ExpressStripe 3.0 is installed by the Media Station|PT installer (without the need for an authorization code). However, at the time of this writing, Media Station is not yet available for Mac OS 10.4.x

Pro Tools 6.9.2 users can download ATTO Express Stripe for Mac OS 10.4.x from http://www.digidesign.com/download/mojo/

After installing the ATTO Express PCI application on Mac OS X, launching produces a bouncing ATTO Icon on the Dock momentarily, then nothing happens and the computer returns to the Finder.
The steps below were in an FAQ on the www.attotech.com website. This has fixed the problem for at least one customer.
ATTO Config Tool 2.8.1 was used in conjunction with OS X 10.3.8 in this case. From ATTO:

If you are running a version of OS X and are unable to launch the ATTO Configuration Tool (icon bounces after double-clicking, no window opens) please follow these instructions to reinstall your Java Runtime Environment:

1) From the Finder, navigate to /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Resources/
2) Move the version.plist file to the Trash.
3) An authentication dialog may appear. Enter an administrator username and password.
4) Confirm that the version.plist is no longer in/System/Library/Frameworks /JavaVM.framework/Resources/.
5) Download the Java v1.4.1 installer from this link http://wsidecar.apple.com/cgi-bin/nph-reg3rdpty1.pl/product=01363&platform=OS X& method=sa/JavaPantherUpdate.dmg
6) Follow the instructions in the installer.
7) Restart your Mac after the installer has finished and then click the Apple Icon and launch Software Update.
8) Install the Java v1.4.2 update.

***Note***
If you have installed the "Security Update 2003-10-28" before following these steps you will additionally need to reinstall that update, as the Java package on the CD precedes it:
1) Open a new Finder window
2) Navigate to /Library/Receipts
3) Move SecurityUpd2003-10-28.pkg to the Trash.
4) Run Software Update and re-download "Security Update 2003-10-28"

In the Movie > Bounce to QuickTime Movie option
ticking the Avid Compatibility box causes the following error:

you can safely click OK and then Bounce to Disk, but this will not complete the bounce but end up in the following error

Command keys for resizing the video window in Pro Tools doesn't work on dual monitor OS X systems.
The workaround is to set your monitors to 'mirror' before launching Pro Tools. You can then switch back to full dual monitor mode and the key commands will still work.

Macintosh Journaled file system now recommended for Pro Tools v6.9
Digidesign now recommends (4/18/2005) that customers format their media drives with journaling turned on. If you are using Apple's Disk Utility program to format drives, Digidesign recommends choosing "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" format, instead of "Mac OS Extended".

Or if the drive has already been formatted, launch the Apple Disk Utility (Located: Mac HD > Applications folder > Utilities folder > Disk Utility). Select your hard drive in the left column (It will not let you select your boot drive) and press button on toolbar to enable Journaling.
