Logic will not play audio properly through the CoreAudio driver until you go into the driver preferences, and manually reset the buffer size to another setting (it defaults to 512, and it can be switched back to 512, but it needs to be set to another value first). if you don't do this, Logic plays the file back with distortion and you will eventually get an audio sync error. Once you've manually changed the buffer size, this problem goes away.

One possible cause is trying to use the Digidesign CoreAudio driver as well as DAE or DTDM tracks in the same Logic session. You can either use Core Audio on its own -or- DAE and DTDM, but not both simultaneously.
In one case customer took Core Audio offline which solved the problem.

Mix systems using Pro Tools v6.4.1 must use v4.1.1 of the Free Bomb Factory plug-ins:
These plug-ins include:
• BF Essential Correlation Meter
• BF Essential Meter Bridge
• BF Essential Noise Meter
• BF Essential Tuner
• Funk Logic Mastererizer
• bombfactory BF76
If you have installed v4.2 of the free Bomb Factory plug-ins, you will get a -7204 error message after instantiation.

In one case, this was resolved by:
1. Trashing all Logic Prefs as well as DigiSetup.OSX and the DAE Prefs folder in Mac HD/Users/Username/Library/Preferences.
2. Removing the iSight plug-in from Mac HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL.
3. Setting the buffer in the Digidesign Core Audio Setup application (Mac HD/Applications/Digidesign) to the same size as the buffer setting in Logic.
4. Restarting the computer.
