|
| I have a Digi 002 and/or Digi 002 Rack and I am getting -6085 errors when recording to a Firewire hard drive with a new G4 (FW 800) Macintosh. |
This is a known issue if using any of the 3 built-in Firewire ports on the FW 800 Macintosh. To record, either:
a) use an internal IDE/ATA hard drive
b) purchase a FW card and use that. The supported Firewire
cards are as follows:
PCI FireWire Adapters for Desktop CPUs:
--ADS Pyro 1394
--Swann Mac FireWire Card
--Adaptec FireConnect
The Digi 002 and Digi 002 Rack should still be connected to the FW400 ports on a G4 (FW800) Macintosh.

DAE error -7053 when using the Native Instruments Pro-52 software synth ...
|
| DAE error -7053 when using the Native Instruments Pro-52 software synth in Pro Tools LE 5.3.2 (Win XP). |
This error message is related to the -9006 error message which is caused by having 1 gig, or more, of RAM in the computer. The solution is the same as solving the -9006 error message: "DAE was unable to obtain a disk buffer of the requested size an additional 2680k of memory is needed..-9006.
Resolve this error by setting the Paging File Initial Size to 1065 or lower in Virtual Memory. 1024 is the recommended value.
Here's how:
Start Menu > right-click on My Computer and choose properties > Advanced Tab> Click Settings in the Performance area > Advanced Tab > Click Change in the Virtual Memory area. Set the Paging File Initial file to 1024. Click Set. Restart.
This error will only occur on machines with 1 gig, or more, of RAM installed. If setting the Paging File Initial Size to 1024 does not resolve the error, try choosing the setting for "No paging file" and click "Set". Restart.
This problem has little or no occurrence in Pro Tools 6.1., when only running Pro Tools.

Trash the entire DAE Preferences folder:
Local Disk C:\Program Files\Digidesign\DAE\DAE Prefs
(For Pro Tools v6.1 the DAE prefs are located in Local Disk C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\DAE prefs.)

|
| I cannot set the output of my MIDI track to Virus Indigo. I am running Logic 6.x on OSX. |
Logic Audio does not support our DirectMIDI API so it cannot communicate with any of our MIDI-enabled plug-ins right out of the box. We've created a newer DAE that, if used in conjunction with Logic Audio, creates CoreMIDI nodes for each MIDI-enabled plug-in like Indigo and others. Logic will then see those plug-in MIDI inputs.
This was written at the time of PT v6.0.1 and CoreAudio Drivers v1.2
