But what about creating new markers?
Of course, Pro Tools 7.4 software allows you to create your own custom markers anywhere you like for total control. Here's how:
- On an audio track, choose Analysis view
- Select the Grabber tool
(Click on the Grabber tool icon in the top of the Edit Window or press F8 on your keyboard) - With your mouse, double click between two markers
(Double click the marker to delete it) - Analysis view allows you to reposition the markers, while Warp view allows you to stretch the audio using the markers
By creating your own markers, you can get very creative! Try putting stutter edits on vocals or stretching guitars to make custom rhythmic drones. For more on Pro Tools 7.4 software's Elastic Time, including video demonstrations, visit the Pro Tools 7.4 software section.
