(May 14, 2007) — ATTO Technology has a robust solution for audio editing facilities that harnesses the power of iSCSI to leverage existing storage investments. The ATTO iPBridge™ 2700, an iSCSI-to Fibre Channel bridge, provides iSCSI connectivity to Fibre Channel devices allowing users to access their storage over cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet networks.

Combining the iPBridge 2700 and ATTO’s Xtend SAN iSCSI initiator allows customers to connect a Mac, or numerous Mac’s, via its Ethernet port directly to Fibre Channel storage. Multiple Fibre Channel storage devices can be connected to the 2700 to create a consolidated storage pool. The streamlined workflow created saves money by accelerating the time involved in editing and completing audio projects, while leveraging existing GigE infrastructures.
