Neyrinck SoundCode Plug-In Updates Now Available
(March 8, 2007) — Neyrinck has released updates for the SoundCode For DTS and SoundCode DTS-HD StreamPlayer products. The updates are free and add features that make the products more powerful and usable for Pro Tools|HD, Pro Tools LE, Pro Tools M-Powered, and Windows XP users.
SoundCode For DTS
The SoundCode for DTS plug-in has new functionality enabling discrete surround decoding within Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered systems. SoundCode has always offered high-quality surround encoding within Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered, but decoding was limited to stereo or required an external decoder attached using a SPDIF or Optical output. Now version 1.0.3 features the ability to use auxiliary output stems for discrete surround outputs. Simply create an additional five mono auxiliary tracks and route them to individual outputs for 6.1 surround monitoring. Now a complete DTS encoding and decoding workstation can be set up using Pro Tool LE and Pro Tools M-Powered.
SoundCode DTS-HD StreamPlayer
The SoundCode DTS-HD StreamPlayer started shipping in December 2006 as the decoding part of the DTS Master Audio Suite which is sold worldwide by DTS to author high definition HD-DVD and Blu-ray video discs. The DTS-HD StreamPlayer is also available as a standalone product so authoring facilities can set up additional low cost quality-assurance systems using Pro Tools LE. Now version 1.0.1 has been released with new features and support for Windows XP. The plug-in now operates within a 192 kHz Pro Tools session for true 192 kHz monitoring of 192 kHz encoded DTS-HD files. Also, the plug-in now supports DTS-HD files larger than four gigabytes allowing you to play back long format DTS-HD Master Audio which is being used in the upcoming Lord Of The Rings release. And finally, the plug-in operates on Windows XP based Pro Tools systems. Now facilities can use either Mac OS X or Windows XP without sacrificing any features.
