SurCode™ for Dolby ® Pro Logic II ships as an RTAS plug-in cross platform

(October 17, 2006) — Minnetonka Audio Software announces Pro Tools plug-in versions of their award winning SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II for both Mac and PC.

This new plug-in for Dolby Pro Logic II was unveiled at Minnetonka’s booth during the AES Convention in San Francisco after receiving Dolby certification.

Just like Minnetonka’s stand-alone software only version, the Pro Tools plug-in version of SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II allows game developers, broadcasters, video producers and audio professionals everywhere to easily encode surround sound into stereo delivery formats. The simple, straightforward SurCode interface accepts 6-channle surround input. SurCode outputs an Lt/Rt encoded stereo stream that can be recorded and used in any stereo transmission medium, compatible with millions of decoders around the world.

SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II also contains a decoder, essential for properly setting the encode parameters. The encoder/decoder can work in real time, to monitor the results of encoder option changes while they are being made. The Pro Tools plug-in is available on both the Mac and PC, supporting versions 7.2 and 6.9; priced at $795USD.
