(October 17, 2006) — Three new KVM extenders from Gefen enable the remote control of computers with support for a variety of interfaces. High definition displays, audio equipment and computer peripherals can be extended up to 150 feet with these sender/receiver systems, connected by industry-standard category-5e cables. Each model supports high definition resolutions up to 1920x1200.

Engineered to enable a professional quality extension of HD displays and their accompanying peripherals, each model features its own unique assortment of interface options:

The CAT5-5500 HD extends two DVI displays plus four USB devices; the CAT5-7500 HD extends two DVI displays, four USB devices, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, RS-232 serial communication systems, two audio devices plus one additional microphone port; and the CAT5-9500 HD extends one DVI display, four USB devices, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, RS-232 serial communication systems and two audio devices.
