D-Show 2.5 software adds a new Event List, which allows you to create macros on either D-Show or D-Show Profile for complete user customization of buttons, footswitches, and General Purpose Interface (GPI)-connected devices. In addition, D-Show 2.5 software offers enhanced routing for mono and stereo (Personal Q) matrixes, allowing for a higher degree of flexibility in available input choices. These new features, plus numerous user enhancements, provide unparalleled control and ease of use when mixing live sound—a hallmark of D-Show software.
The D-Show 2.5 software upgrade is available for all VENUE customers for $149* from authorized VENUE dealers and through Digidesign Customer Service.
D-Show Profile Support
With the addition of the new D-Show Profile console to the VENUE family, D-Show 2.5 provides complete support for the entire VENUE product line. If you’ve worked with D-Show before and move to D-Show Profile, you’ll feel right at home with the software and workflows.
Full User Settings Portability between Consoles
D-Show 2.5 software offers full show file compatibility between D-Show and D-Show Profile. That means you won’t encounter any data loss when moving show files between the two consoles. If functions are unavailable on one console due to hardware differences, for example, the software preserves the settings and then restores them when you move back to the other console.
Expanded Matrix and Personal Q (PQ) Routing
D-Show 2.5 software adds the ability for mono or PQ matrices to accept input from 12 sources, chosen from any combination of groups, auxiliaries, LR and Center/Mono masters, and any of eight user-assigned input sources. Input source selection is unique to each matrix, and can even be changed on a per-scene basis via snapshot automation.
Event List
The new Event List lets you completely customize the function of buttons, footswitches, and the General Purpose Interface (GPI) found on D-Show Profile, enabling you to work the way you want while maximizing your efficiency. Just create your own macros, which enable the console to perform single or multiple functions with a single console action, button push or switch closure from a footswitch or external show control device.
Input Channel Presets
Input Channel Presets allow you to create libraries of channel settings for commonly used sources, and then easily apply these settings to any input channel, reducing set-up time. As with other preset libraries, settings are available to any show file and can be stored and transferred between consoles using a USB key.
Snapshot Enhancements
D-Show 2.5 software provides several new snapshot enhancements, including the following:
- Snapshot locking to prevent inadvertent changes
- Confirmation dialog when storing a snapshot
- Improved plug-in handling within snapshots
- Next Snapshot indication in the Status area
- Centered Snapshot list
- Snapshot Scope indication on the Plug-ins page
- Channel Select Sets Propagate Mode scope
- Selected channel display on the Snapshots page
User Interaction Enhancements
To make your work even easier, D-Show 2.5 software offers several user interaction enhancements.
- Plug-in dynamics metering
- Time of Day display in the Status area
- Momentary or latching Talkback button behavior
- Gain Guess Follows Meter mode (peak or rms)
- Channel copy/paste notification
- Customization of Mouse/Trackball controls
- Display of total channel insert processing delay
