New Toolkit Upgrade Options Available


Please Note: Pro Tools 8 software is required to achieve maximum simultaneous audio track counts. All original toolkit users can also achieve the same higher audio track counts (up to 64 simultaneous stereo or mono audio tracks) by simply upgrading to Pro Tools 8.

It is not necessary for Pro Tools 8 users to upgrade to the new Music Production Toolkit 2 unless you want to get the Eleven LE and Structure LE plug-ins. Original DV Toolkit 2 owners do not need to upgrade to the new DV Toolkit 2 unless they want to get the X-Form plug-in. The functionality of the original toolkits and the new toolkits is the same in Pro Tools 8, only the list of plug-ins that are included in the new toolkits have changed.

How To Get Your Upgrade


1. Go to Pro Tools LE and M-Powered Options in the Products section of website
2. Click on Complete Production Toolkit, DV Toolkit 2, or Music Production Toolkit 2
3. Click on the "Buy Now" button, and choose your upgrade from the pull-down list on the DigiStore
If you are not sure which upgrade you can purchase, click on the "Pro Tools® Toolkit Upgrade Finder" link on the DigiStore pages for each toolkit. Enter your iLok.com User ID to find out what Toolkit upgrades you qualify for. Please note that upgrade pricing is available only to current Toolkit owners. All Toolkit upgrade orders will require the appropriate existing license on your iLok in order to download the new Toolkit license to your key.

Once you have purchased and activated any of the new toolkit upgrades from the online DigiStore, you can download the installers for Mac or Windows from your My Digi account on the Digidesign website.

Recent Purchases
For a limited time, if you purchased the original Music Production Toolkit or the original DV Toolkit 2 on or after October 3, 2008, you are eligible to receive a free upgrade to Music Production Toolkit 2 or the new DV Toolkit 2, respectively. Be sure to register your new toolkit purchase with Digidesign, and you will receive an email that explains how to get your free upgrade.

Special "Combination Upgrades" to Complete Production Toolkit



In addition to the upgrades listed above (sold only on the DigiStore), a special offer for registered owners of both Music Production Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 to upgrade to the Complete Production Toolkit is available by special order only from Digidesign Customer Service.

If you are the original registered owner of both toolkits, please contact Digidesign Customer Service Administration via our online Support Center. Please include your name, address, and the iLok.com user account which has your current Music Production Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 authorizations. Type "Complete Production Toolkit Upgrade" in the Subject field, and choose "Software Upgrade Eligibility" in the Question Topic 2 pull-down list.

Complete Production Toolkit Installers
If you have purchased and activated the Complete Production Toolkit, the installers will be available for download in your My Digi account under Registered Downloads (click on "View All"). The installers for Complete Production Toolkit are approximately 3 GB each for Mac or Windows. Due to space limitations, the installers are NOT on the Pro Tools LE version 8 installation DVD.

Customers that have purchased the "combination upgrade" to Complete Production Toolkit directly from Digidesign Customer Service will receive instructions by email on how to download their installers.
