Original Pro Tools Ignition Pack & Music Production Enhancement Suite
The following FREE updates for all owners of the original Pro Tools Ignition Pack are now available for download:
- Ableton Live Lite 6.10*
- Celemony Melodyne Essential 1.8.1
- FXpansion BFD Lite 1.5
- IK Multimedia AmpliTube LE 1.1*
- IK Multimedia SampleTank 2 SE 2.1*
- IK Multimedia T-RackS EQ 1.3*
- Propellerhead Software Reason Adapted 3.0.4 (Win/Mac) & 3.0.5 (Mac)
*Will also update these Ableton and IK Multimedia plug-ins that were included in the older Music Production Enhancement Suite.
These Ignition Pack updates are compatible with the following operating systems:
- Mac OS X for Intel-based Macs (supported with all of the above)
- Mac OS X for PowerPC-based Macs
- Windows XP Home and Professional

- Propellerhead Software Reason Adapted
Windows Vista requires Reason Adapted v3.0.4, a free update for Reason Adapted 3 owners (not available for Reason 2.x owners). For more information, see the "Reason Adapted 3.0.4 and Windows Vista FAQ" below.
- FXpansion BFD Lite 1.5
BFD Lite 1.5 has been qualified by Digidesign on Windows Vista (32-bit) with Pro Tools LE 7.4 and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4.
- IK Multimedia AmpliTube LE 1.1
AmpliTube LE 1.1 has been qualified by Digidesign on Windows Vista (32-bit) with Pro Tools LE 7.4 and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4.

(January 18, 2007) — Ableton and Digidesign are pleased to announce that owners of any previous version of Live Lite Digidesign Edition are eligible for a free upgrade to Live Lite 6 Digidesign Edition.

Celemony Melodyne Essential 1.8.1
Melodyne essential 1.8.1 for Mac OS X, Windows XP, and Windows Vista is available to download free of charge for all registered Melodyne essential users. For details, see www.celemony.com/id/update_essential.
- Log in with your user name and password to your myCelemony account
- Click Load Installer, which will display the available updates, and download the one for your platform (Mac or PC)
- Run the installation program and follow the onscreen instructions
To update from Melodyne Essential 1.8:
Celemony Melodyne Essential 1.5
If you do not wish to update to Melodyne Essential 1.8.x for some reason, you can update to v1.5.2. "New In Melodyne Essential 1.5.2" PDF available at the bottom of this page, and included with software installers. For users updating from Celemony Melodyne uno essential v1.0:
- You will need to enter your authorization information to authorize v1.5. Your authorization info can be obtained in v1.0 by choosing License from the Window menu.
- When installing the v1.5 update, v1.0 will not be removed from your hard drive. Although not required, if you would like to remove v1.0, you will need to manually delete it from your hard drive (Applications folder on Mac OSX or Program Files on WindowsXP).
Known issue on Windows XP: When the "Upgrade offer" window comes up, you need to press the ENTER key to clear this window.
MelodyneEssential 1.5 Updates:
FXpansion BFD Lite 1.5
These downloads contain the BFD Lite v1.5 plug-in updates for Intel-based Mac, PowerPC-based Mac, Windows XP, and Windows Vista (32-bit) platforms. Please note that these downloads do not contain the BFD Lite drum kit samples. To successfully install the BFD Lite v1.5 update, follow these instructions:
- Run the BFD Lite v1.0 Installer from the DVD you received with your Ignition Pack to install the drum kit samples. If the drum kit samples are already installed, move to the next step.
- Run the "BFD Lite Plugin Mac Setup" or "BFD Lite Plugin Win Setup" program to install the update

IK Multimedia SampleTank 2 SE 2.1
The downloads contain the SampleTank 2 SE v2.1 plug-in updates for Intel-based Mac, PPC-based Mac, and Windows XP platforms. Please note that these downloads do not contain the SampleTank 2 SE Instrument samples. To successfully install the SampleTank 2 SE v2.1 update, follow these instructions:
- Run the SampleTank 2 SE Installer from the CD you received with your Ignition Pack to install the samples. If the Instrument Samples are already installed, move to the next step.
- Run the "Install SampleTank 2.1 SE" program to install the update

Propellerhead Software Reason Adapted 3.0.4/3.0.5
For users updating from v3.0.1, you will need to enter your authorization information to authorize v3.0.4 or 3.0.5. This information should be available in "My Account" on the Propellerhead website. Reason Adapted 3.0 required, cannot be used to update Reason Adapted v2.x. — Who is eligible for this update?
"Reason Adapted 3.0.4/3.0.5 Read Me" is available at the bottom of this page, and is included with software installers.

Reason Adapted 3.0 owners can download version 3.0.5 for Mac OS X 10.3.9 - 10.4.x, v3.0.4 for Windows XP - Vista, and v3.0.4 for Mac OS X 10.2.8 - 10.3.8 from the Propellerheads website:
Installing Reason Adapted for Digidesign 3.0.4 or 3.0.5
Before you uninstall/delete your old Reason Adapted folder, please move all your personal files, the Reason Adapted Sound Bank ReFill and other song files and patches to another location, or they will be lost. When the Reason Adapted upgrade has been installed the SB ReFills have to be put back in the new folder.
1. Uninstall your previous Reason Adapted version:
- PC users: Choose "Remove Programs" in the control panel and remove your previous installation of Reason Adapted.
- Mac users: You need to manually delete the Reason Adapted folder.
2. Expand the downloaded file.
3. Install
- PC users: Run the installer:
- Mac users: Open the disk image and drag the Reason Adapted folder to your Applications folder on your hard drive.
4. Run Reason Adapted for Digidesign 3.0.4 for Windows or 3.0.5 for Mac OS X. You will now need the Reason Adapted 3.0 disk.
You will be asked to enter your license number. Use your Reason Adapted 3.0 license number. If you don't have your number at hand, the license number can always be found in your User Settings.
Please note: Be aware that song files saved in 3.0.4 or 3.0.5 might fail to open in 3.0. If you exchange song files with other Reason Adapted users, make sure they also have the Reason Adapted version 3.0.4 for Windows or version 3.0.5 for Mac OS X update.
Reason Adapted 3.0.4 and Windows Vista FAQ
Q: My new computer's got Vista pre-installed. Will it run Reason 3?
A: It will, provided you've got Reason 3.0.4. Just make sure you're logged in as admin when you install and authorize Reason.
Q: Am I still going to be able to ReWire Reason to my DAW after moving to Vista? How about using my Rex files?
A: As well as Reason 3.0.4, ReWire and Rex are also compatible with Windows Vista. Some stuff has changed in the installation though, to meet up with the improved security in Vista. This means you need to run a special installer of ReWire and Rex to make things work like they're supposed to. Just follow this link to get the installer and further instructions:
